How do hints work?
You start with 3 hints. Each hint reveals one random unrevealed letter in an unsolved word on your current level.
When you run out, all 3 refill at once after a 1-hour cooldown. You can also tap "Watch ad for 3 hints" in the out-of-hints modal to top up immediately.
You can also earn a bonus hint by finding a bonus word — a real English word in the tray that wasn't required by the crossword.

I lost my progress when I switched phones.
Lexino v1 stores your progress locally on each device. We don't sync to the cloud yet, so reinstalling or moving devices means starting fresh.
If your phone's OS backup (iCloud / Google One) was on before you switched, restoring from that backup will usually bring Lexino's save data along with it. Otherwise, sorry — there's no recovery path in v1. Cross-device sync is on our roadmap.

The game says my word is wrong, but I know it's a word.
Lexino uses a fixed dictionary for word validation. It covers most common English words, but a few legit ones (especially regional spellings, proper nouns, or very recent additions) are missing.
If a word you're confident about isn't accepted, send it through the contact form below — we'll review it for the next dictionary update.

Can I replay a level I've already completed?
Not in v1 — completed levels lock to keep your progression linear and predictable. You'll see them as completed in the chapter list.
The Daily Crossword is also one-and-done per day. Yesterday's puzzle is gone once midnight rolls over.

I tapped "Watch ad" but didn't get my hints.
Hints only credit when the ad plays to completion. If you closed the ad early, or the network dropped mid-video, the SDK will not report a reward and we won't grant the hints.
If you saw the ad through to the end and still didn't get the reward, force-quit Lexino and reopen it — the hints should appear. If they don't, email us with your device model and approximate time, and we'll look into it.

How do I disable ads / notifications / sound?
Ads only appear when you tap "Watch ad for 3 hints", so simply don't tap it. There are no other ads in v1.
Sound, haptics, and notifications all live in the in-app Settings screen (tap the profile button, then the settings gear).

Does Lexino work offline?
Yes — the campaign and the Daily Crossword (once it's downloaded for the day) are fully playable offline. You'll need a connection to fetch the next daily puzzle and to watch reward ads.
Game Center / Play Games leaderboards will catch up next time you connect.

How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. That removes everything we store on your device.
For leaderboard scores submitted to Game Center or Google Play Games, follow Apple's or Google's instructions to manage data with those services — they hold those records, not us.

I found a bug. What do I do?
Send a message through the contact form below with:
- A short description of what happened
- What chapter and level you were on (if relevant)
- Your phone model and OS version
- A screenshot, if you can attach one later
We read everything and reply to most reports within a couple of business days.
